Stay safe from fake jobs

Job scams copy real companies and real recruiters. Here is how to spot one, and what we do to keep them out.

Warning signs

  • You are asked to pay for training, equipment, a visa or a background check before you start.
  • You are asked for bank details, a copy of your passport or a crypto wallet before a written offer.
  • The recruiter wants to move the conversation to a personal messaging app straight away.
  • The pay is far above the market for little work, or the interview is only by text chat.
  • The email comes from a free webmail address instead of the company domain.

What Career Calling does

  • Every employer passes registry, domain email and identity checks before posting. How verification works
  • Employers are re-checked every 90 days and whenever account details change.
  • We never charge candidates, and employers agree never to ask candidates for money.
